The organization implemented the Oracle CPG suite of applications as a strategic information system, along with the Radcliffe Warehouse Management System (WMS), in order to automate and manage its global production and trade processes.

The project encompassed implementation of Oracle Purchasing applications, Oracle Trade Accounting, Oracle GEMMS, System ESS, and Manugistics. The suite was implemented across all departments of the division, including the corporate offices and 20 manufacturing facilities and distribution centers. End-user training in the Oracle CPG suite was conducted for workers from production facilities in Minnesota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Iowa, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and California.

GP did the following during this project:

• Provided the Training Engagement Leader to initiate the development for the Genesis project.
• Developed a training survey with CPG core team leaders to identify end-user roles and responsibilities in the corporate office and at production facilities; administered the survey to all departments and evaluated survey results.
• Authored the initial scope of training and a comprehensive training plan for end-user and core team training.
• Developed and integrated training schedules for corporate and production facilities personnel for all five core teams.
• Managed technical writers and training material developers in preparation of user guides and classroom training materials.
• Created formats for CPG training material and documentation, and defined requirements for training manuals.
• Consulted on classroom design and preparation for computer-based classroom training.
• Developed a feedback mechanism to support continuous improvement of end-user training through all rollouts.
• Provided a technical writer to author a custom user guide for all users of the GEMMS System.
